Natural Stone Products

Natural stone products from many different continents. Each with their own characteristics best suited for different applications. Let us know what your project is and we will be able to help and advise you on the best product for you. There are many types of natural stone products all of which can come in many shapes and sizes. For ease of description we have separated them into 5 sections: marble, granite, limestone, quartz and semiprecious. It is probable that you are saying something along the lines of 'but surely "composite" can not be natural?' and you would be entirely right, however there are times when the uniformity that is only possible with a manufactured product is the only thing that will fit the bill.

Marble results from the transformation of sedimentary rock, like limestone, by intense heat and pressure.

This heat and pressure causes a complete change in the structure. The characteristic swirls and veins of many coloured marble varieties are due to minerals that were mobilized and recrystallized in the transformation.

Granite gets it name from the similar sized 'grains' (granum in Latin) that make up its structure.

It is found all round the world and comes in many colours. It is extremely uniform and rarely contains voids and extremely hard and tough. Because of this it is used for everything from tiles to worktops to whole buildings.

Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO3).

Most limestone is composed of skeletal fragments of marine organisms such as coral or foraminifera.

Manufactured from 94% natural quartz these products have high stain resistance, high acidity resistance, are scratch resistant, have high impact resistance and come in wide range of textures and colours.

Semi-precious stones are often a piece of crystal (mineral), which, in cut and polished form, is used to make adornments or 'statement pieces' within a larger stone design. Whilst most are crystals others, like Lapis Lazuli, are rocks and some originate from from organic material like Amber. All have physical properties which that have aesthetic value.

All stone comes in a variation of colours. These tend to conform to a standard colour spectrum or type, but just occasionaly a vein of stone is found which falls outside these norms. These exoctic stones can be used in any situation that you could use a standard stone in, but make a truely stunning statement. Their use and application is limited only by your imaination.

All projects need their finishing touches - here are some top quality products that will inspire you. We are always here to help you find the right products for you.

Onyx is a banded variety of the oxide mineral chalcedony. The parallel bands of layered chalcedony that typifies onyx can be used to stunning effects in your project.

Mosaics have been around for over 2000 years, bringing a timeless art to interior decoration. From classic geomtrics to stunning art pieces these works of art can lift any project out of the ordinary.

This collection of natural stone are all sedimentary rocks. What makes them different is the treatments they go through to produce a fantastic range of finishes.

Volcanic stone comes from rock formed from magma erupted from a volcano.Volcanic rocks are usually fine-grained or aphanitic to glass in texture. They often contain clasts of other rocks and phenocrysts. Phenocrysts are crystals that are larger than the matrix and are identifiable with the unaided eye.
